BIOGRAPHIES

Frederick T.F. Johnson

Elected a the 36th National Encampment in 1917 held in Boston, MA. Presided at the 37th National Encampment in 1918 held at Niagara Falls, NY. Died May 11, 1928 was Maryland Department Commander 1902. The National Site has him as being from PA but the proceedings of the 47th National Encampment in 1928 clearly show he was from MD.

Edward R. Campbell

Elected at the 20th National Encampment held in 1921 in Providence, RI. He presided over the 21st National Encampment in 1902 held in Washington, DC. He was a civil war veteran and likely the only one to preside over the Sons. His father fought in the same unit as he did in the War. Brother Campbell died March 10, 1936 at age 93.

Edgar Allan, Jr.

Of Richmond, VA He was elected at the 27th National Encampment held in Niagara Falls, NY in 1908. Presided over the 28th National Encampment held in Washington, DC in 1909. Born 1873 Farmville, VA Died April 27, 1931 and buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Washington, DC. Mustered into the order April 24, 1892 in Lincoln Camp No. 2 Washington, DC and was Division Commander in 1901.

Edwin C. Irelan

Of Baltimore, MD. Elected at the 44th National Encampment held in Grand Rapids, MI in 1925 and presided over the 45th National Encampment held in Des Moines, IA in 1926. Mustered in as a member of Dushane Post Camp No. 6 then on May 2,1898 to Garfield Camp No. 1 in Baltimore, MD. Department Secretary in 1907, Department Commander 1908. Died November 28, 1949.
