Series of 2004-2005 Department Order No. 8 Headquarters Department of Maryland, January 28, 2005 Whereas the National Order has saw fit to establish a SUVCW Foundation to assist in the furtherance of the ideals of our Order. And, whereas the SUVCW Foundation is a 501c3 organization, which allows that donations to it are considered tax deductible. Now, therefore, I as Commander of the Maryland Department SUVCW do hereby challenge the camps of the Maryland Department to make donations to the SUVCW Foundation. All donations received from individuals and camps by the Department Encampment on April 23, 2005 will be met dollar for dollar by the Department Commander up to $1000.00. In addition my employer will match my $1000.00 donation to the SUVCW Foundation dollar for dollar as well. Therefore if the camps rise to the challenge the Maryland Department will present at least $3000.00 to the SUVCW Foundation at the annual National Encampment in August. Make checks payable to the SUVCW and forward them to the Department Secretary/Treasurer Eugene G. Mortorff 1579 Lodgepole Court Annapolis, MD 21401. Please be sure to include a note that it is for the Foundation Challenge.
