Department Order No. 10

Headquarters Department of Maryland: April 21, 2006

It gives me great pleasure in announcing the following Commander Citations to be presented at the 119th Maryland Department Encampment in Fredericksburg, Virginia on April 22, 2006.

The first goes to the Col. James D. Brady Camp for having the highest percentage gain in new members for the second year in a row. Not only that but they also had the highest gain in net members year over year. The Brady Camp went from 15 members last year to 32 members this year. They had a 100% retention losing only one member to death. The brothers of the camp should be justly proud of their efforts.

The second Commander’s Citation goes to Brother Mike Paquette of the Irish Brigade Camp No. 4. As the Camp Commander of the Irish Brigade Camp in Fredericksburg, Mike readily accepted the challenge of serving as Chairman of the Encampment Committee. In all details Brother Mike showed an unswerving attention to duty in fulfilling his duty and providing a first rate Encampment. The Department is lucky to have Brothers such as this that are willing to step up and take on important rolls such as this.

In Fraternity, Charity, and Loyalty,

James R. Hanby, Sr. Maryland Department Commander
